LITTON, Frances Cordelle -- Frances Cordelle LITTON, 95, of Fairfield, died Wednesday, March 11, 2009, at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.

A funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, with the Rev. Mike Metz officiating. Interment will be in Glasgow Cemetery.

Family visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa or Glasgow Cemetery. Cards and memorials may be sent to 804 S. Fourth St., Fairfield 52556.

Mrs LITTON was born Sept. 11 (sic - 1st), 1913, in Mediapolis, the daughter of Louis and Frances BLAKE EARNEST. She married James W. LITTON June 3, 1930, in Mediapolis. He died Sept. 17, 1971.

Mrs. LITTON was a wife and mother. She was employed at Universal Producing Company and in the housekeeping department at Jefferson County Hospital.

She was a member of Glasgow Methodist Church.

Survivors include four children, James LITTON of Fairfield, William LITTON and wife Kay of Iowa City, Jack LITTON and wife Maxine of Fairfield and Robert LITTON and wife Reta of Iowa City; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and four siblings, Charles EARNEST, Elizabeth HISEL, an infant brother and an infant sister.
