CALHOUN, Manley P. -- Manley P. CALHOUN, 82, of Keosauqua, died at 5:45 p.m. Monday, March 9, 2009, at Van Buren Good Samaritan Center in Keosauqua.

A funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Phil Campbell officiating. Burial will be in Forbes Cemetery, north of Keosauqua.

Open visitation will be from 3-5 p.m. Wednesday and noon to 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorials toward a grave marker may be left at the funeral home or may be mailed to 22054 210th St., Keosauqua 52565.

Mr. CALHOUN was born Aug. 15, 1926, in Rome, Iowa, the son of Roy and Mary CALHOUN.

Mr. CALHOUN lived many years at Center Village, north of Keosauqua, where he was manager of the dairy. He had resided at the good samaritan center since April 2007.

Survivors include his friend and caregiver Julie CHAPUIS of Keosauqua.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings.
