TOLSON, Lester Marvin -- Lester Marvin TOLSON, of Fairfield, died following a cerebral hemorrhage Monday, March 2, 2009, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

A memorial service will be at 8 p.m. today in the Maharishi University of Management Argiro Student Center Festival Hall.

Mr. TOLSON was born in 1943 in Texas.

Mr. TOLSON completed a bachelor's degree in statistics at University of Texas in Austin. He was a 40-year meditator. He was a teacher of Transcendental Meditation and had worked for the TM organization at local, national and international levels. He was a comptroller for Maharishi International University in the 1970s and 1980s and returned to that position at M.U.M. in 2006 after serving as treasurer for the Natural Law Party during the 2000 presidential campaign.

Survivors include one daughter, Pamela RODGERS of Batavia and one brother, William TOLSON of Round Rock, Texas.
