Illness Fatal To Peter DeSPAIN

Peter DeSPAIN, 82, died at the Nelson nursing home after suffering a stroke on Monday. DeSPAIN made his home with Mrs. Ray McIntire, 603 W. Jackson St., for the past 7 or 8 years.

Funeral services will be at the Weston Behner funeral home at 2 p.m. Monday. The Rev. H. T. Rasche will have the services with burial in Evergreen cemetery.

Peter DeSPAIN was born Oct. 20, 1875 at Chariton and came to Fairfield as a small boy. He was the son of William and Rachel COX DeSPAIN. He was married to Alice BAKER. She and one son, Carl, preceded him in death.

He is survived by one son, Clarence, St. Joseph, Mo.; one sister Mrs. James MANARY, Fairfield; one brother Joe DeSPAIN of Burlington and a step-daughter, Grace MILLER, Fairfield.
