KESSLER, William -- William KESSLER, 79, of Fairfield, died Monday, March 2, 2009, at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield.
Arrangements are pending at Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield.

KESSLER, William J. 'Bill' -- William J. "Bill" KESSLER, 79, of Fairfield, died Monday, March 2, 2009, at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield.
A memorial service will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield, with the Rev. Ed Parker officiating. Interment of ashes will be at a later date in Evergreen Cemetery.
Family visitation will follow Thursday's service until 3 p.m.
A memorial has been established to the Lord's Cupboard.
Mr. KESSLER was born Feb. 4, 1930, in East Pleasant Plain, the son of Arthur and Thelma COIL KESSLER. He married Wilma Elaine WILSON Nov. 10, 1956, at the Methodist parsonage in Fairfield. She died April 12, 1992.
Mr. KESSLER worked as a farmhand and truck driver. He also was station attendant at the Home Oil Station, west of Fairfield.
Mr. KESSLER attended the Suburban Heights Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Gary KESSLER; two daughters, Joyce KNOPP and husband Mike and Joann VAN BLARICOM and husband Paul, all of Fairfield; three grandsons; two stepgranddaughters; one great-granddaughter; one stepgreatgranddaughter; one brother, Joe KESSLER of Fairfield; four sisters, Marie NOVY of West Liberty, Josephine FERREL of Booneville, Ark., Marjorie McMULLIN of East Moline, Ill., and Dixie WATSON of Arizona; one stepsister, Audrey BROWN; and two stepbrothers, Jay and Eugene FERREL.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by two daughters, Marcia E. PALMER and Betty Marie KESSLER; his parents; four stepsisters; and two stepbrothers.
