AICHER, Dale Henry -- Dale Henry AICHER, 95, of Mount Pleasant, died Monday, March 2, 2009, at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.
A service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Oakland Mills Community Church, southwest of Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Bob Dameron officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Home Cemetery in Mount Pleasant.
Family visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the church.
Memorials may be made to Oakland Mills Community Church or Hospice of Central Iowa. Cards and memorials may be sent to PO Box 610, Fairfield 52556.

Mr. AICHER was born Aug. 31, 1913, in Oakland mills, the son of John Lewis and Matilda Marie TIMMERMAN AICHER. He married Vera P. GHOLSON Feb. 20, 1941, in Burlington. She died Jan. 14, 1997.
Mr. AICHER lived all his life in Jefferson and Henry counties. He was a lifetime farmer, and following retirement, he worked at Messer Seed Company for 10 years.
He enjoyed spending time with family, hunting, fishing and playing cards. He also was a Cubs fan.
Survivors include four children, Richard AICHER and wife KellAnn of Keokuk, Nancy BEHNER and husband Fred of Fairfield, Dean AICHER and wife Doris of Mount Pleasant and Ted AICHER and wife Kathy of Fairfield; seven grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and three stepgreat-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Ervin AICHER and Alvin AICHER; one sister, Frances CANTWELL; and one stepgreat-grandchild.
