WOODSMALL, David Ray -- David Ray WOODSMALL, 51, of Salem, died Friday, Feb. 13, 2009, at Great River Hospice House in West Burlington.
A service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Salem Friends Church in Salem, with the Rev. Nathan Martin officiating. Burial will be in Salem East Cemetery.
Visitation began at 2 p.m. today at Murphy Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, where the family will be present from 6-8 p.m.
A memorial has been established.

Mr. WOODSMALL was born July 20, 1957, in Burlington, the son of Robert E. and Anna Marie BOLLINGER WOODSMALL. He married Sharon BARBER March 7, 1991, in Mount Pleasant.
Mr. WOODSMALL was a truck driver for several local companies.
He enjoyed woodworking.
Survivors include his wife; four children, Jacob WOODSMALL and Lucas WOODSMALL, both of Burlington, and Nichols BARBER and Sawyer WOODSMALL, both of Salem; three grandchildren; three brothers, Roger WOODSMALL of Morning Sun, William WOODSMALL of Tiffin, Ohio, and Roy WOODSMALL of Columbus Junction; one sister, Roberta STEVENS of Salem; and his mother of Salem.
He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Ernie WOODSMALL.
