ENGEL, Mary Elmina -- Mary Elmina ENGEL, 99, of Keosauqua, died Sunday, Jan. 18, 2009, at Van Buren County Hospital.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Memorials may be made to Faith United Methodist Church in Libertyville.
Arrangements are in the care of Raymond Funeral Home.
Mrs. ENGEL was born Dec. 27, 1909, in Libertyville, the daughter of Jonathan Fred and Jessie CONNER McELDERRY. She married LaMonte WILLIAMS July 1, 1931. He died in 1937. She married Joseph ENGEL March 16, 1941, in Ottumwa. He died in 1988.
Mrs. ENGEL was a 1927 graduate of Fairfield High School. She attended Idaho State University. She was a retired school teacher and had taught in Burley, Idaho.
Survivors include one son, Charles; one daughter, Lunelle McCUMANS of Twin Falls, Idaho; three grandsons; one great-grandson; one brother, Warren McELDERRY; one stepdaughter, Berry LIDNELOF of Fullerton, Calif.; and one foster daughter, Patricia WIRT of Danville.
In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents.

ENGEL, Mary Elmina -- Mary Elmina ENGEL, 99, of Libertyville, died Sunday, Jan. 18, 2009, at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.
A memorial service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Libertyville Faith United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Mike Renken officiating. Interment will be at Grace Hill Cemetery in rural Brighton.
Memorials may be made to Faith United Methodist Church in Libertyville.
