BRUDERS, Julia M. --Julia M. BRUDERS, 76, of Fairfield, died Friday, Jan. 16, 2009, at home.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. The body has been cremated.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Memorials and cards may be sent to 1300 W. Jackson Ave., No. 6, Fairfield 52556.

Mrs. BRUDERS was born Feb. 28, 1932, in Chadron, Neb., the daughter of Elmer and Rosie M. SCOTT LUKE. She married Earl J. BRUDERS Feb. 28, 1950, in Fairfield. He died June 23, 1995.

Mrs. BRUDERS lived most of her life in the Fairfield community. She was a homemaker and a housewife.

Survivors include one son, Earl E. BRUDERS of Fairfield; five siblings, Cleone DOWING of Indiana, Minnie GREEN of Alabama, Lydia MILLER of South Carolina, Melvin LUKE of Fairfield and Ida KERR of Fairfield; one granddaughter; and two great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Elmer, Eugene and Robert LUKE Sr.; and one sister, Dorothy LUKE.
