WILLIAMS, Nadine -- Nadine WILLIAMS of Cantril died Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2009, at home.
Arrangements are pending at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua.

WILLIAMS, Nadine R. -- Nadine R. WILLIAMS, 76, of Cantril, died Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2009, at home.
A service will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Cantril Christian Church, with the Rev. Jerry Caughron officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Cantril.
Open visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Friday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, where the family will be present from 6-8 p.m.
Memorials to Cantril Grass Roots may be left at the funeral home or church or may be mailed to the family at 3459 270th Ave., Keokuk 52632.
Mrs. WILLIAMS was born Oct. 1, 1932, near Troy, the daughter of Marvin "Toby" and Mildred CAROTHERS DUVALL. She married Max L. WILLIAMS Jan. 23, 1953, in Keosauqua. He died Nov. 17, 1991.
Mrs. WILLIAMS grew up in the Troy community and graduated from Troy High School. She and her husband farmed the WILLIAMS family farm southwest of Douds and retired to Cantril in 1979.
Mrs. WILLIAMS attended Cantril Christian Church. She was active in Cantril Grass Roots and Cantril Quilters. She had been a member of the former Douds Temple Pythian Sisters.
She was a genealogist and enjoyed card groups in Cantril.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda MOANDER of Keokuk and Diane WILLIAMS of New York; two sons, Todd WILLIAMS of Carinda and Thomas WILLIAMS of Covington, Ga.; and nine grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson.
