MANLEY, Randall A. -- Randall A. MANLEY, 53, of Burlington, died Thursday, Dec. 25, 2008, as the result of a myocardial infarction in Memphis, Mo.
A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. today at Lunning Chapel, with the Rev. Carl Engstrom officiating. According to Mr. MANLEY's wishes, the body has been cremated.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established for Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous.
Mr. MANLEY was born March 31, 1955, in Burlington, the son of Carroll W. and Marjorie G. SAMUELSON MANLEY. He married Nancy ROHDE.
Mr. MANLEY was a 1973 graduate of Burlington High School. He worked for Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad for 30 years.
Mr. MANLEY was baptized at Bethany Lutheran Church. He was a 30-year member of Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way Union, Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous and was a former member of the Eagles Club.
He enjoyed working, walking through Crapo Park and by the river, reading, racing and spending time with family.
Survivors include one daughter, Carol Ann MANLEY of Kimberly, Wis.; one son, Ryan A. MANLEY of Milwaukee, Wis.; his mother, Marjorie G. SAMUELSON MANLEY BREUER of Burlington, formerly of Fairfield; two sisters, Sandi J. MUMM of Burlington and Theresa DIRTH of Round Rock, Texas; and his former wife, Nancy MANLEY of Two Rivers, Wis.
His father and grandparents preceded him in death.
