JOHNSON, Kenneth -- Kenneth D. JOHNSON, 75, of Keosauqua, died at 7:15 a.m. today, Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2008, at home

JOHNSON, Kenneth D. -- Kenneth D. JOHNSON, 75, of Keosauqua died at 7:15 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2008, at home.

A funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Mark Caston officiating. Burial will be in Hillsboro Cemetery.

Open visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with family present from 6-8 p.m.

Memorials to the Van Buren County 4-H swine program may be left at the funeral home or may be mailed to the family at 916 Country Lane Drive, Apt. 21, Keosauqua 52565.

Mr. JOHNSON was born Nov. 4, 1933, near Hillsboro, the son of Rex S. and Cordie FRY JOHNSON. He married Clarice SPRAY April 22, 1951, in Kahoka, Mo.

Mr. JOHNSON and his wife farmed in the Stockport area until retiring to Keosauqua in September 2007. Mr. JOHNSON also sold Walnut Grove and Moorman feed and had operated a feed store in Farmington.

He was a member of Van Buren County Farm Bureau and had been a 4-H leader. He was especially interested in the 4-H swine program.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, James JOHNSON of rural Fairfield and Frank JOHNSON and wife Pat of rural Bonaparte; one daughter, Kathy ABERDEEN and husband Jeff of Overland Park, Kan.; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one brother, Arnold JOHNSON of Stockport.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one infant son, Samuel; and two brothers, Max and Howard JOHNSON.
