B. WOOLUMS Dies at 58

PACKWOOD -- Victor WOOLUMS, 60, former Packwood resident, died Wednesday in a Corpus Christi, Tex., hospital. He entered the hospital Tuesday night.

Mr. and Mrs. WOOLUMS moved from Packwood to Rockport, Tex., about 18 months ago where they owned and operated a motel.

Last rites will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the Packwood Methodist Church with the Rev. Byron Newland officiating. Burial will be in Packwood Cemetery with Masonic rites conducted by Abingdon Lodge No. 104. The body will arrive this evening at the Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield.

WOOLUMS was born Feb. 3, 1913 in Ottumwa, the son of Elijah and Mary KNIGHT WOOLUMS. He was reared and educated in Packwood. He was married to Alma MELLOTT July 4, 1935.

Surviving are his widow and the following children: E. James WOOLUMS, Winona, Minn.; Samuel WOOLUMS, Portland, Ore.; Victor WOOLUMS Jr., Iowa City; and Mrs. Kenneth DUBOIS, Portland, Tex.

Other survivors are seven grandchildren; one brother, Fieldon WOOLUMS, Los Angeles, Calif.; and three sisters, Mrs. Marie GERDE, Long Beach, Calif.; Mrs. Dale SELIX, Centerville; and Mrs. Frank WELLS, Packwood.

WOOLUMS served as Packwood acting postmaster for several years. He was a member of the Christian Church and the Masonic Lodge of Abingdon.
