PACKWOOD. Mrs. Mary SPENCER of this place died Christmas morning from diabetes; she leaves three children to mourn a mother's irreparable loss; the funeral was the largest ever known here; services held in the M.E. Church Sunday afternoon and the body was interred in the Packwood Cemetery. (Death Record shows Mary C. SPENCER, female, married, died Dec. 25, 1897, age 43-2-25. Burial at Packwood.)
