Services will be held Thurs. Mar. 18 at Packwood Christian Church for Giles L. SMITH, 90, pioneer of Jefferson County, who died Monday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Bonnett, Farson, Iowa. Born Oct. 7, 1853, on a farm near Packwood, son of John and Catherine SMITH. On Dec. 2, 1875, married Anna M. WEBB who died Feb. 11, 1926. Survived by nieces and nephews. Burial in Packwood Cemetery.
