Amos Henry RUGGLES, 83, died this morning Ludington Nursing Home, Oskaloosa. Burial in Packwood Cemetery. Services at Packwood Methodist Church. Lifelong resident of Jefferson County, born in Jefferson County Mar. 7, 1862; on Nov. 9, 1890, he married Miss Eva McVEY who died Jan. 14, 1921. He was also preceded in death by one son John C., who died in 1926. Seven children survive him: William R. and Cecil R. of Packwood, James B. of Fremont, Iowa; Mrs. Harry WELLS, Alameda, Calif., Mrs. Charles McMILLAN, Berkeley, Calif., Mrs. Joe N. MOORE, Batavia, and Mrs. D. L. CARBAUGH of Ottumwa; one brother, C. R. RUGGLES of Packwood; one sister, Mrs. Nettie JOHNSON, Des Moines, nine grandchildren, one greatgrandson.
