Joseph Ray NELSON, 73, native of Packwood community, died today at Nelson Nursing Home. Last rites to be held at Abingdon Christian Church; burial in Memorial Lawn Cemetery at Fairfield. Born June 5, 1887, near Packwood, son of Joseph and Letitia WEBB NELSON. Educated in Packwood and married Clara SMITH Feb. 12, 1908. Member Packwood Christian Church. Survived by wife and sons: Wallace, Beltsville, Md.; Morris, Cheverly, Md.; Chester, Farson, Iowa; Merle, Packwood; and one daughter, Martha NELSON, Denver. Col.; four sisters, a twin, Mrs. May CLINE, Fairfield, Mrs. Erma STEELE, Packwood, Mrs. J. C. CLINE, Packwood, Mrs. Lora BRADFIELD, Stockport; two brothers, Virda NELSON, Ollie, and I. B. NELSON, Packwood. Preceded in death by parents, two grandchildren, two half-brothers and one half-sister.
