Mrs. V. A NELSON Dies Mickling, S. D. Home; Former Packwood Woman

PACKWOOD, Feb. 25 -- Relatives here received word of the death of Mrs. V. A. NELSON of Meckling, South Dakota who passed away Saturday night from a stroke. The NELSON family left here in 1921 and have since made their home in Meckling. She was the daughter of Eustis and Matilda DAVIS who preceded her in death. A sister, Mrs. John GOBBLE lives at Bladensburg and another sister Mrs. RILEY and brother Henry DAVIS live near Farson. Mrs. M. L. NELSON who makes her home with her daughter, Mrs. Carl CLINE and Mrs. CLINE is Mr. NELSON's mother. Another sister Mrs. Frank STEELE and Mr. STEELE, Ray NELSON and brother and Rudolph Mellotte drove to Vermillion, South Dakota where funeral services were held. The family is well known here.

Note: Buried in Packwood Cemetery, in the southwest section. Husband was Virda A. NELSON who remarried to Bonnie GOBBLE HARTMAN and died in 1979; Virda and both his wives are buried in Packwood Cemetery as well.
