SNUFFER, Garland W. -- Garland W. SNUFFER, 76, of rural Bonaparte, died at 3:09 p.m. Monday, Dec. 15, 2008, in the Van Buren County Hosital emergency room in Keosauqua.

A funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with family members conducting the service. Burial will be in Bonaparte Cemetery.

Family visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Memorials to the family may be left at the funeral home or may be mailed to the family at PO Box 26, Bonaparte 52620.

Mr. SNUFFER was born Dec. 4, 1932, in Tam's Mountain, W.Va., the son of Garland R. and Ruby HUFFMAN SNUFFER. He married Beverly I. WEATHERILL March 16, 1957, in Pennsylvania.

Mr. SNUFFER graduated from Montandon, Pa., high school. He worked as a production manager for the Worldwide Church of God in the radio ministry for 27 years. He retired to Bonaparte in 1994.

Mr. SNUFFER served in the United States Air Force in Europe during the Korean conflict.

He was a member of Church of God.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Garland Mark SNUFFER of California and Eric Alan SNUFFER and wife Edith of Tyler, Texas; one daughter, Linda REX of Farmington; three grandchildren; two brothers, Dallis SNUFFER of Nevada and Luther BOOP of Mifflinburg, Pa.; and one sister, Norma Jean SAUERS of Mifflinburg, Pa.

His parents preceded him in death.
