Mrs. Orva MORTON, 59, county welfare director for the past seven years, died Sun. at Jefferson County Hospital. Raymond Funeral Home. Burial in Packwood Cemetery. The Jefferson County courthouse will be closed from 12 noon Tuesday for the remainder of the day for the services. Orva MORTON was born July 31, 1904, at Packwood, daughter of Paul and Maud EVERETT HINES. She was reared and educated at Mt. Pleasant and grad. Ft. Madison High School and University of Iowa. Married, Sept. 5, 1925, Walter MORTON who survives. Member Christian Church and Soroptimists Club. Also survived by several aunts and uncles. Until entering the hospital Dec. 16, she made her home at the Leggett Apartements.
