Batavia Funeral Is Planned For Mrs. MOWERY, 92

BATAVIA, Ia. -- Mrs. Icilina MOWERY, 92, died last night at the Curtis nursing home in Fairfield after an illness of several years. She had been critically ill the past week.

She was born in Adair county, Mo., Oct. 3, 1864, the daughter of John and Hannah STUBBS and spent most of her life in Jefferson county. She was married Dec. 5, 1883 to James B. MOWERY, who died in 1936. Mrs. MOWERY was a member of the Pekin Methodist church.

Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Frances KIMMEL of Birmingham, and Mrs. Ed RILEY of Batavia, one brother, Charles STUBBS of Pekin and a sister, Mrs. Ed CARSON of ____, Okla. Ten grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and _5 great-great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Batavia Community church with the Rev. Kermit Black in charge. Burial will be in the Packwood cemetery. The body is at the Campbell funeral chapel at Batavia.
