Mrs. Maria MOORMAN, widow of Dr. C.D. (sic) MOORMAN who died at Packwood eight years ago, died yesterday morning in Pomona, Calif. Cremation.... survived by stepchildren...

Mrs. Maria MOORMAN died Wed. morning Aug. 22, 1928, at the home of her niece, Mrs. E. D. HOGSETT, Pomona, Calif. Resident there since 1920. Born at Port William, Ohio, daughter of Ambrose and Eliza JONES; she was married in 1875 to Dr. Charles F. (sic) MOORMAN at Jamestown, Ohio. Soon after their marriage they removed to Jefferson County, Iowa, where Dr. MOORMAN was in practice for 43 years. He died 1918.... She served 30 years as correspondent for the Fairfield Ledger and for 20 years for the Burlington Hawkeye.... Survived by two stepsons, Albert and John MOORMAN, Packwood, Iowa; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Bertha MYERS, Washington, Iowa, and Mrs. Marcella YOUNG, Oregon; two sisters, Mrs. Lucretia GOWDY, Xenia, Ohio, and Mrs. H. F. JACKSON, Bowersville, Ohio; one brother, Edward JONES, Ridgeville, Ind.... After a short service at the "Little Church of the Flowers," Glendale, Calif, the body will be cremated at the Mausoleum, Forest Lawn Cemetery.
