Abner HEALD, 87, died last evening at the home of his daughter Mrs. Emmett HADLEY 8 miles north of the city. Heart trouble and complications. Burial in Packwood Cemetery. Born May 24, 1841, in Ohio. His wife, who was formerly Miss Martha Frances ESTES, died Feb. 24, 1926. He leaves children: Mrs. HADLEY and Mrs. A. S. HEATON of Fairfield; J. C. HEALD; E. A. HEALD; and C. E. HEALD of Packwood.

Obi. Abner HEALD, born Ohio May 24, 1841, died Jan. 17, 1929, at home of daughter Mrs. Emmett HADLEY eight miles north of Fairfield, age 87-7-24. Came to Jefferson County from Ohio with parents in 1850. Aug. 7, 1866, married Martha Frances ESTES. They lived on a farm near Libertyville, later moving to Packwood. Mrs. HEALD died Feb. 24, 1926. Seven children born, two died, William and Ira preceded him. Five children survive, Mrs. Elizabeth HEATON, Fairfield; John, Elijah and Charlie of Packwood, and Mrs. Myrtle HADLEY of near Fairfield. Burial Packwood Cemetery.
