Nelson HAVENS dragged to death by team. Age 26. Met death late yesterday afternoon when his team hitched to a disc harrow ran away and dragged him half a mile in a field on his farm 3 miles n.w. of Packwood. Body not found until two hours later when his wife found him with the reins still wrapped around him and clothes torn from his body. Mrs. HAVENS, formerly Miss Jessie ROMACK, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed ROMACK of Ottuwma. She and her husband were making their home on the old ROMACK farm. Mr. HAVENS is son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry HAVENS who recently lived in the Packwood area, now living in Illinois.
