HEMINGER, Dennis J. -- Dennis J. HEMINGER, 52, of Joplin, Mo., died Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2008, at St. John's Regional Medical Center in Joplin.

Open visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Saturday at Kremer Funeral Home in Eldon.

Mr. HEMINGER was born Sept. 25, 1955, in Keosauqua, the son of Joe and Rosie HEMINGER. He married Theresa KNOX, and they later divorced.

Mr. HEMINGER was a graduate of Cardinal High School in Eldon. He was employed by Plexico/Chevron most of his adult life. He lived in various towns in southeast Iowa, including Washington and Batavia, before moving to Joplin in 2004.

Survivors include one son, Cory HEMINGER; his mother; his stepmother, Theresa HEMINGER; two sisters, Jane and Becky; one brother, Jerry; and two stepbrothers, Jim and Eddie WICHMAN.

He was preceded in death by his father.
