CONLEE, Mildred L. -- Mildred L. CONLEE, 90, of Solon, formerly of Cantril, died at 12:52 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 25, 2008, at Solon Care Center.

A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday Sept. 30, 2008, in Maple Grove Cemetery in Cantril, with the Rev. Jerry Caughron officiating. Cremation has been accorded.

Memorials to Cantril Grass Roots for Waubonsie Park may be brought to the service or mailed to the family at 523 E. Fifth St., Solon 52333,

Arrangements are in the care of Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua.

Mrs. CONLEE was born Sept. 20, 1918, at Rogers, Neb., the daughter of William and Ella ENOCHSON LUCKE. She married Charles Hale CONLEE Aug. 14, 1960, in Cantril.

Mrs. CONLEE was head cook at Cantril Elementary School for many years. She also assisted her husband on their farm between Cantril and Milton. She had resided at Solon Care Center since January 2007.

Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Janet JOHNSON NORRIS of Berkeley, Calif.; one son, David JOHNSON and wife Brenda of North Liberty; one daughter-in-law, Beverly JOHNSON of Hoover, Ala.; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Stanley JOHNSON Jr. and William JOHNSON; one grandson; seven brothers; and two sisters.
