TALLEY, Barry -- Barry TALLEY, 63, of Richland, died this morning, Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2008, at University Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

Arrangements are pending at Gould Funeral Home of Richland.

TALLEY, Barry D. -- Barry D. TALLEY, 63, of Richland, died at 1:40 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2008, in University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Gould Funeral Home in Richland, with the Rev. Peggy Egbert officiating. Burial will be in Richland Friends Cemetery.

Open visitation begins at 3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the family present from 7-8:30 p.m.

Memorials to the American Cancer Society may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 412 Marshall St., Ollie 52576.

Mr. TALLEY was born Aug. 29, 1945, in Fairfield, the son of George A. and Maggie SPANIER TALLEY. He married Patricia SINN July 24, 1966, in Brighton. She died Aug. 12, 1992.

Mr. TALLEY lived al lhis life in Richland. He attended Richland grade schools and graduated from Pekin High School in 1963. He served in the Iowa Army National Guard, worked as a heavy equipment operator on road construction, owned Richland Sand Company for many years, was Richland water superintendent and served as sanitarian for Keokuk County Public Health.

Survivors include one daughter, Tammy HAILE and husband Don of Ollie; one son, Greg TALLEY and wife Michelle of Richland; six grandchildren; and one sister, Dolores RILEY of Lake City, Fla.

In addition to his wife, his parents and one daughter, Amy preceded him in death.
