KELLY, Myrna C. -- Myrna C. KELLY, 87, of Brighton, died at 4:22 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008, at Washington County Hospital in Washington, Iowa.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hillcrest Cemetery in Brighton, with the Rev. Fred Bickhart officiating.
Memorials to the family may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 404 S. Mechanic St., Brighton 52540.
Arrangements are in the care of Gould Funeral Home of Brighton.
Mrs. KELLY was born March 7, 1921, in Spooner, Wis., the daughter of Clell R. and Melinda M. SHAFER SPOHN. She married Frank KELLY Nov. 9, 1947, in San Bernardino, Calif. He died Dec. 23, 1990.
Mrs. KELLY was raised in Wisconsin and Illinois before moving to California. She worked in the San Francisco shipyards during World War II. In 1964, she and her husband moved to Iowa, where she was a housewife.
Survivors include one daughter, Nancy LOUGH and husband George of Brighton; one son, Bob STARR of San Bernardino, Calif., eight grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Jim STARR; one daughter, Linda GINGRICH; one granddaughter; four sisters, Helen KELLY, Iris VOLGER, Lois ARBOGAST and Olive "Babe" MILES; and two brothers, Arnold and Robert SPOHN.
