HARRIS, Rosalie Marie BOWERMASTER -- Rosalie Marie BOWERMASTER HARRIS, 91, formerly of Fairfield, died Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2008, at Hospice in Monterey, Calif.

A service will be held in San Diego at a later date.

Mrs. HARRIS was born Nov. 16, 1916. She married Bob HARRIS in 1939.

Mrs. HARRIS was raised in Fairfield and graduated from Fairfield High School and became a dental assistant. While her husband was in the U.S. Navy, the couple moved around the country, living in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Virginia, Washington state and Washington, D.C. They also spent a year in Tripoli, Libya. They settled in San Diego, Calif., in 1954 when Mr. HARRIS retired from the Navy. Mrs. HARRIS was a stay-at-home mom.

In later years, Mrs. HARRIS enjoyed being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include four children, Judith KLEINBERG of Carmel, Calif., Jeffrey HARRIS of El Cajon, Calif., Daniel HARRIS of Sonora, Calif., and Frederick HARRIS of Vista, Calif.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband.
