MILLER, Roberta -- Roberta MILLER, 93, of Mesa, Ariz., formerly of Fairfield, died Sunday, Sept. 14, 2008, in Mesa.

MILLER, Roberta -- Roberta MILLER, 93, of Mesa, Arizona and formerly of Fairfield, died Sunday, September 14, 2008 at Banner Gardens Hospice in Mesa.

Graveside funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Saturday, September 20, 2008 at Fell Cemetery. The Rev. Suzanne Swahn will officiate at the service. Friends may call from 11 A.M., to 1:00 P.M., Saturday at the Raymond Funeral Home, Fairfield. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.raymondfuneralhomes.com .

Roberta DOUGHERTY was born December 2, 1914 in Alberta, Canada. She was the daughter of James and Susie WILLEY DOUGHERTY. She was a 1933 graduate of Libertyville High School. On September 2, 1934 she was united in marriage to Roscoe MILLER. Roberta and Roscoe owned and operated MILLER's Grocery and DX station for many years in Fairfield. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Fairfield.

She is survived by two granddaughters, Andrea (Bill) HAGEMAN of Rapid City, South Dakota; Angel (Don) BREMSETH of Fergus Falls, Minnesota; five great grandchildren, Amber SUMNER, Aric HAGEMAN, Adam BREMSETH, Ashley BREMSETH, Andrew BREMSETH; four great-great-grandchildren, Avery, Aubrey and Ayden SUMNER and Alex BREMSETH; her twin sister, Alberta FERREL of Mesa, Arizona and her son-in-law, Dick MULLENIX of Breckenridge, Minnesota.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Roscoe in 2002 and a daughter, Patricia MULLENIX. Her brother, Merle DOUGHERTY and her sister, Mary MANNING.
