COX, Lottie Jane -- Lottie Jane COX, 85, of Fairfield, died Monday, Sept. 15, 2008, at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Behner Funeral Home, with the Rev. Keevin Koch officiating. Following Mrs. COX's wishes, her body has been cremated. Inurnment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Visitation with the family will be from 1-2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the SunnyBrook Care Center activity fund or Hospice of Central Iowa.

Mrs. COX was born June 8, 1923, in Wapello County, the daughter of S. Ben and Jane JONES WINFREY. She married Ray COX Jan. 19, 1941. They later divorced.

Mrs. COX graduated from Fairfield High School in 1940. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include two children, Sharyn YEOMAN and husband Delbert of Fairfield and Teresa GAYLORD and husband Nat of Gardner, Kan.; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Danny J. COX; one great-grandson; two sisters, Ruby WINFREY and Jewel CAMPBELL; and three brothers, James WINFREY, Charlie WINFREY and Bennie WINFREY.
