WATKINS, Helen B. -- Helen B. WATKINS, 80, of Mount Pleasant, formerly of Fairfield, died Friday, Sept. 5, 2008, at Arbor Court in Mount Pleasant.

A memorial service was at 2 p.m. today at First United Methodist Church in Fairfield. A funeral will be Sept. 19 in Roanoke, Va. Burial will be in Walker Cemetery in Boones Mill, Va.

Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel of Mount Pleasant is assisting the family with local arrangements.
