RANKIN, Florence P. -- Florence P. RANKIN, 78, formerly of Keosauqua and New London, died at noon Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2008, at Northfield Hospital in Northfield, Minn.

Arrangements are pending at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua.

RANKIN, Florence P. "Paudy" -- Florence P. "Paudy" RANKIN, 78, of Northfield, Minn., died at noon Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2008, at Northfield Hospital.

A service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. ellis andrews (lower case sic) officiating. Burial will be in Center Chapel Cemetery, southeast of Keosauqua.

Open visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 10-11 a.m.

Memorials to Three Links Care Center of Northfield may be left at the funeral home or may be mailed to the family at 1530 Independence Drive, Northfield, MN 55057.

Mrs. RANKIN was born Aug. 20, 1930, in Keosauqua, the daughter of Craig E. "Johnny" and Irene DAVIDSON ARMSTRONG. She married James Vinton "Pappy" RANKIN Feb. 5, 1948, in Kahoka, Mo. He died Dec. 1, 1983.

Mrs. RANKIN graduated from Keosauqua High School. She lived most of her adult life in Mount Pleasant where she worked at Iris Cleaners. She retired to New London and lived the past 13 years in Northfield.

Survivors include two daughters, Rhonda ROWE and husband Bob of Northfield and Deanne WOODSMALL and husband Bob of St. Peter, Mo.; two sons, Tony RANKIN and wife Linda of Selinsgrove, Pa., and Timm RANKIN and wife Tamara of Cherryville, N.C.; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Marsha BOYLE of Los Angeles, Calif.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Kathleen PEARSON and Wilma STEELE; and one infant brother.
