From the Richland, Iowa Paper; 9 Mar 1933.

MRS. ABRAM JONES. Rachel Emry, daughter of David and Amanda Emry, was born March 1st, 1856 near Pleasant Plain, Iowa. She passed away at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Everett Coffin, February 27th, 1933, aged 76 years, 11 months and 27 days.
Her girlhood was spent near Pleasant Plain until the time of her marriage to Abram Jones, January 28th, 1876, who passed to his reward September 19th, 1918.
To this union were born twelve children, five of which preceeded her in death, Eva, William, Elvin, Leroy and Martha. Those remaining to mourn their loss are: Alice Coffin of Pleasant Plain, Angie Hawthorne of Chadron, Nebraska, Arthur of Central City, Nebraska, Ora True and Effie Cox of Richland, Josie Davis of Whittier, California and Hattie McIntire of Greeley, Colorado. Besides these are twenty grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, also four sisters and two brothers and a host of other relatives and friends.
After her marriage, she lived on a farm northeast of Richland until they moved to Nebraska in 1882. Here she lived several years, returning to Iowa in 1902. She lived in the Woolson and Hopewell neighborhoods until four years ago, when she went to live with her daughter, Alice Coffin, where she was faithfully and lovingly cared for by the entire family until she went to be with her master.
She was converted at the age of 14 at the Walnut church. She was a staunch member of the Friends church the remainder of her life. No sacrifice was too great for her church and Lord.
With her husband and family she arrived in Nebraska soon after the organization of the church at Spring Bank, where they took a keen interest (line unreadable) the Missionary and W. C. T. U. cause. She held a life-time membership in the W. C. T. U.
Although she was faithful in service to the church, it only stressed her interest in her home. She was always a devoted companion and a kind and loving mother. Always showing by her example, patience and fear of God. All the interests of her childhood were near to her heart and also of her neighbors, especially in time of sickness and sorrow.
The pallbearers were Luther, Dyme d, Sumner and Rufus McCracken, Earl and Glen Coffin. Rev. Harvey Moon of Pleasant Plain preached, assisted by Leonard Wines of Richland.
The Pleasant Plain quartet, Luther Johnson, Pearl Wykoff, Mrs. Harvey Moon and Seth Hoskins sang "The Wonderful Dream" and "No Disappointment in Heaven." Mrs. Will Mable sang "No One Forgotten." Interment was in the Friends cemetery.
