BRADEN, Glenn -- Glenn BRADEN age 91, of Ottumwa and formerly of the Hedrick area passed away, Thursday, August 28, 2008, at Vista Woods Care Center in Ottumwa. Visitation was held August 31, 2008 at the Fremont Funeral Chapel beginning at 12:00 noon with family present from 2:00 until 4:00 P.M. Funeral services were held Monday, September 1, 2008 at the Hedrick/Martinsburg United Methodist Church in Hedrick at 10:30 A.M., with Rev. Kim Gates officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery near Martinsburg. Memorials may be made in his name to Pekin Dollars for Scholars, or Hedrick Quick Responders, or Hedrick/Martinsburg United Methodist Church, or Wapello/Keokuk County Hospice.

Glenn BRADEN was born January 12, 1917 near Martinsburg the son of Harry and Ida CHACEY BRADEN. He was united in marriage to Wilma SHERADEN, February 19, 1938. They farmed until retiring in 1987.

His memory is honored by his three daughters; Joyce (Harlan) MILLIKIN of Hedrick, Janet DUNAWAY of Madison, Wisconsin, and Kathleen (Dave) STERLING of Batavia, eight grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren, a sister, Lela ZEPP, a sister-in-law, Betty SHERADEN, many nieces and nephews and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Wilma in 2006.
