Elsie DeKALB dies at 86

Elsie V. DeKALB, 86, former Fairfield resident, died Wednesday at Valley View Village in Des Moines (note: in Polk Co., IA).

Funeral services will be Saturday, 10 a.m., at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola with graveside services at 2 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery, Fairfield.

A former school teacher, Miss DeKALB was born June 30, 1893 near West Point, the daughter of Francis and Anna SCHOENE DeKALB. She is survived by one brother, Leo DeKALB, Bettendorf.
