WOOLUMS, Wray W. -- Wray W. WOOLUMS, 80, of rural Keosauqua, died at 8:22 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2008, in the Van Buren County Hospital emergency room in Keosauqua.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Elsa Lawry officiating. Mr. WOOLUMS' body was donated to the University of Iowa College of Medicine.

Family visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society and may be left at the funeral home or may be mailed to the family at 19128 Labrador Drive, Keosauqua 52565.

Mr. WOOLUMS was born Nov. 28, 1927, near Packwood, the son of Donald and Verle WOOLUMS. He married Mary Kathryn EDMUND Dec. 31, 1948, at Wesley Methodist Church in Ottumwa.

Mr. WOOLUMS graduated from Packwood High School. He served in the United States Coast Guard at the end of World War II. He was a self-employed carpenter. He lived in Fairfield and rural Packwood before moving to Roberts Park north of Keosauqua in 1986.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Dennis WOOLUMS of Des Moines and Gary WOOLUMS and wife Barb of Melbourne, Australia; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Edward WOOLUMS.
