WARD, Rosalie CUTLER -- Rosalie CUTLER WARD, 77, of Fairfield, died at 2:50 p.m. Friday, Aug. 8, 2008, at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield.

A funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Dean Grant officiating. Burial will be in Greenglade Cemetery in Farmington.

Open visitation began at 2 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 6-8 p.m.

Memorials may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 503 E. Fillmore Ave., Fairfield 52556.

Mrs. WARD was born Feb. 21, 1931, in Platte, S.D., the daughter of the Rev. C.C. and Matilda BALL SWALWELL. She married John R. CUTLER June 6, 1949, in Farmington. He died May 13, 1988. She later married Carlton WARD, and they divorced.

Mrs. WARD and her first husband farmed in Van Buren County, and she assisted him his lay ministry at Free Methodist Church. She had been a resident of Parkview Care Center the past few weeks.

She attended Bible Missionary Church in Mount Pleasant most recently.

Survivors include two sons, Gary CUTLER and wife Mary of Sheridan, Ind., and John Allen CUTLER and wife Debby of Montgomery, Ala.; four daughters, Rosemary JOHNSTON and husband Jim of Wichita, Kan., Nancy ANDERSON and husband Norman of Wichita, Kan., Lois HEARN and husband Tim of Fairfield and Carol MARTIN and husband Phil of Frankfort, Ind., 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Alice HAWKINS of Tarzana, Calif.

In addition to her first husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Anna VonSEGGEN; and one brother, Irv SWALWELL.
