DAVIS, Kenneth A. -- Kenneth A. DAVIS, 84, of rural Agency, died Friday, Aug. 8, 2008, in Houghton.

A service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at United Methodist Church in Eldon, with the Rev. Robert Dvorak and David Albert officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Ottumwa.

Open visitation began at 10 a.m. today at Kremer Funeral Home in Eldon, where the family will be present from 6-7 p.m.

Memorials may be directed to the Agency Volunteer Fire Department.

Mr. DAVIS was born Feb. 19, 1924, near Bladensburg, the son of Roy and Ida SMITH DAVIS. He married Helen RUPE March 27, 1947, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua.

Mr. DAVIS was raised and educated near Agency, graduating from Agency High School in 1942. He was a lifelong grain and livestock farmer near Agency.

Mr. DAVIS was a member of United Methodist Church in Eldon and was a former 4-H leader.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Kay DAVIS of Columbia, Mo.; one son, Dennis DAVIS and wife Pat of Batavia; and one brother, Richard DAVIS of Moravia.

He was preceded in death by one son, Donn; his parents; and one brother, Russell DAVIS.
