ATWOOD, Norman Irwin -- Norman Irwin ATWOOD, 57, of Fairfield, died Wednesday morning, July 23, 2008, at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.
A funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Fairfield, with the Rev. Mark Brase officiating. Interment will be in Packwood Cemetery in Packwood.
Family visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield.
Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church or Jefferson County Fairgrounds. Cards and memorials may be sent to 400 W. Broadway Ave., Fairfield 52556.

Mr. ATWOOD was born Feb. 2, 1951, in Fairfield, the son of Donald and Eunice TREESE ATWOOD. He married Dorian DIETERICH March 17, 1973, in St. Ansgar.
Mr. ATWOOD graduated from Fairfield High School in 1969 and Iowa State University in 1973. He was a member of the Jefferson County community all his life. He farmed for 35 years.
Mr. ATWOOD was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Fairfield, where he held office, sang in the choir and taught Sunday school. In addition, he was director of New Alliance Farm Service, a past president of Jefferson County Farm Bureau and a former 4-H leader.
Mr. ATWOOD loved spending time with his family, especially his grandson. He also enjoyed boating and camping and was a race fan.
Survivors include his wife; one son, Jeremy ATWOOD and wife Angie of Fairfield; one grandson; his parents of Packwood; and two sisters, Gayle OLSON of Webster City and Zoe MORITZ of Packwood.
