KEPHART, Joan BLUM DIMMITT -- Joan passed after her graceful battle with cancer at the age of 77 years. In life, she was a farmer's wife near Ottumwa, a gardener, mother, grandmother, student, teacher, sailor and dear friend to many. Before the term was invented, she was a Life Coach and helped many to ease their life journey. She was kind, compassionate, smart, caring, thrifty, honest, courageous, kooky and fun.

She was a member of the Homeopathic Study Group and Englewood Book Club in Florida.
Joan lived and worked in Venice, Florida, for many years and more recently in Englewood after spending a number of years traveling and living the RV lifestyle.
She is survived by her husband Ken, daughter Lynn IVERSON of Venice, Florida; son Keith DIMMITT (Sandi); and grandsons, Tyson DIMMITT of Fairfield, Iowa and Tobin DIMMITT of Iowa City, Iowa.
