Dale C. 'Dick' DAY

Dale C. "Dick" DAY, 74, 406 S. Court St., died at 2:26 a.m. today, April 14, 1992, at Valley Lutheran Hospital in Mesa, Ariz.

The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenneth Royar officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Masonic rites will be conducted at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, followed by family visitation from 7:30 to 8:30. Memorials have been established to First United Methodist Church and Jefferson County Hospital Auxiliary.

DAY was born March 18, 1918, at Anamosa, the son of Harry and Essie CLARK DAY, and grew up in Anamosa. He was a heavy equipment operator and a farmer before his retirement. He married Florence GRAHAM on July 31, 1942, at Kahoka, Mo. He served in the U. S. Marine Corps in the Pacific during World War II. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Clinton Masonic Lodge 15 AF and AM in Fairfield, the Des Moines Consistory, KAABA Shrine of Davenport, Fairfield Shrine Club, VFW, and was a past exalted ruler of BPO Elks 1192.

Surviving are his wife; a son, Richard of Fairfield; two daughters, Pat ADDY of Altoona, Tammy WEAVER of Birmingham; four grandchildren; two brothers, Tom and Jack, both of Anamosa; two sisters, Betty LUBBEN of Cedar Rapids and Jean McGRATH of Boca Raton, Fla. His parents and a sister, Eileen BEHN, preceded him in death.
