HUFFMAN, Ronald Keith 'Duck' -- Ronald Keith "Duck" HUFFMAN, 77, of Ottumwa, died at 7:18 a.m. Monday, July 14, 2008, at Regency Park Nursing and Rehab Center in Jefferson.

A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Reece Funeral Home in Ottumwa, with the Rev. Gordon Moen officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield.

Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the family present from 6-8 p.m.

Memorials have been established to Iowa Hospice, 5399 Chimra Road, Panora 50216; or Ottumwa Public Library, 102 W. Fourth St., Ottumwa 52501.

Mr. HUFFMAN was born May 23, 1931, in Packwood, the son of John and Mabel MOORE HUFFMAN. He married Ruth Evelyn CAMPBELL Feb. 8, 1953. They divorced in 1981.

Mr. HUFFMAN was a 1949 graduate of Packwood High School. He farmed and was a rural mail carrier for more than 20 years. He owned and operated Duck's Auto Sales in Ottumwa during his retirement years.

Mr. HUFFMAN served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict.

He was a member of American Legion O.B. Nelson Post No. 3.

Survivors include three daughters, Gail HUFFMAN of Jefferson, Lori REELFS of Topeka, Kan., and Valerie EMBERTON of Des Moines; three grandchildren; and one sister, Wilda FERREL of Keosauqua.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Thelma SMITH and Dorothy McCLEARY; and two brothers, Hollis and Donald HUFFMAN.
