HARWARD, Marjorie L. 'Marge' -- Marjorie L. "Marge" HARWARD, 80, of Cantril, died at 11:50 a.m. Thursday, May 15, 2008, at a neighbor's home in Cantril.
A service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Jerry Caughron officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Cantril.
Open visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, where family will be present from 6-8 p.m.
Memorials to Cantril Grass Roots or Milton Senior Citizens Meal Site may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 307 E. Oak St., Milton 52570.
Mrs. HARWARD was born Sept. 19, 1927, in Stockport, the daughter of Phil and Velma CARTER PENDER. She married Richard D. HARWARD Aug. 13, 1946, in Troy, Kan. He died Feb. 23, 2005.
Mrs. HARWARD graduated from Milton High School in 1945 and lived most of her life in Miton and Cantril. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. HARWARD enjoyed sewing, making crafts, bowling and volunteering at the Senior Citizens Meal Site in Milton.
Survivors include one son, Jim HARWARD and wife Marsha of Milton; two grandchildren; one great-grandson; three brothers, Leo PENDER of Silvis, Ill., Lary PENDER of Burlington and Lynn PENDER of Blairstown; and three sisters, Mary Lou MOFFETT of Leon, Marcella PREVO of Bloomfield and Marlene HENRY of Memphis, Mo.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Ronald HARWARD; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Mildred MARTIN SPURGEON; and three brothers, Lester, Lawrence and Lowell PENDER.
