DOUD, Margerie L. -- Margerie L. DOUD, 84, of Batavia, died Saturday, May 3, 2008, at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.

A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Kremer Funeral Chapel in Batavia, with Danny Cary officiating. Interment will be in Batavia Cemetery.

Open visitation will begin at noon Tuesday at the chapel, with the family present from 7-8 p.m.

A memorial fund has been established.

Mrs. DOUD was born Oct. 2, 1923, near Abingdon, the daughter of Joseph and Sylvia LAWRENCE BRADSHAW. She married Keith E. DOUD Feb. 24, 1941, in Lancaster Mo. He died Dec. 17, 2002.

Mrs. DOUD was raised and educated near Farson, graduating from Farson High School in 1941. She lived most of her adult life in the Batavia area, where she had driven truck with her husband earlier in her life and later worked at various cafes and convenience stores.

Survivors include one son, Larry DOUD and wife Jaylene of Batavia; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one sister, Dorothy MAJOR of Fairfield.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Marie BRADSHAW.
