HOUSER, Deloris 'Lori' Darlene -- Deloris "Lori" Darlene HOUSER, 74, of Cedaredge, Colo., died Sunday, April 6, 2008, at Delta County Memorial Hospital.
A graveside service was held Monday at Cedaredge Cemetery.

Mrs. HOUSER was born May 12, 1933, in Fairfield, the daughter of Fred S. and Fern Adabel PLATT DOUTHART. She married David Charles HOUSER Oct. 9, 1950, in Bloomfield. He died Dec. 9, 2007.
Mrs. HOUSER's childhood was spent in Birmingham, Keosauqua and Bentonsport.
Mrs. HOUSER was an artist, singer and guitarist. She enjoyed writing songs and poems, reading, camping and fishing.
Survivors include two sons, Russell S. HOUSER and wife KC of Cedaredge and Forrest W. HOUSER and wife Cherrye of Evergreen, Colo.; one brother, Courtland DOUTHART of Keosauqua; and grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; eight siblings, Alma BARR, Bill DOUTHART, Helen PUFFINBERGER, Millie McFARLAND, Fred Jr. DOUTHART, Ralph DOUTHART, Kenny DOUTHART and Pete DOUTHART; one son, Fred D. HOUSER; and one grandson.

Biography: Deloris 'Lori' Darlene Houser of Cedaredge, CO. passed away at Delta County Memorial Hospital on Sunday, April 6, 2008. She was 74 years of age.
Deloris was born on May 12, 1933 in Fairfield Iowa, to Fred S. and Fern Adabel (Platt) Douthart, the ninth of ten children. Her childhood was spent in Birmingham, Keosauqua, and Bentonsfort, Iowa.
On October 9, 1950 Deloris Darlene Douthart married the love of her life, David Charles Houser in Bloomfield, Iowa. They celebrated over 57 years together. He died December 9, 2007.
Deloris was an accomplished artist, singer and guitarist. She enjoyed writing songs and poems, reading, camping, and fishing. Her greatest enjoyment in life was raising her children.
Family: p>Many were grateful to have shared in her life. She is survived by two sons; Russell S. (& his wife KC) Houser of Cedaredge and Forrest W. (& his wife Cherrye) Houser of Evergreen, Colorado, one brother; Courtland Douthart, of Keosauqua, Iowa, and grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death, her parents, husband David C. Houser, brothers and sisters; Alma Barr, Bill Douthart, Ralph Douthart, Helen Puffinberger, Kenny Douthart, Fred Jr. Douthart, Millie McFarland, and Pete Douthart, one son; Fred D. Houser, and grandson; David Ian Houser.
Service Information: Visitation will be held Sunday, April 13, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Service Chapel in Cedaredge. A graveside service will be held Monday, April 14, at 2 p.m. at Cedaredge Cemetery with Jane Dupree officiating.
