FORD, Janet BAIN -- Janet BAIN FORD, 67, of Fairfield, formerly of Birmingham, died Tuesday, April 8, 2008, at home.
Arrangements are pending at Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel of Mount Pleasant.

FORD, Janet Kay BAIN -- Janet Kay BAIN FORD, 66, of Fairfield, formerly of Birmingham, died Tuesday, April 8, 2008, at home.
A funeral will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel in Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Robert Hamm officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Forest Home Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. Saturday at the chapel.
A memorial has been established in Mrs. FORD's memory.

Mrs. FORD was born Aug. 26, 1941, in Mount Pleasant, the daughter of Willis W. and Ruth A. MILLER BAIN. She married John FORD in Salem. The couple later divorced.
Mrs. FORD graduated from Harmony High School in 1961. She worked at Scheaffer Pen Company in Fort Madison. She also did restaurant work in Mount Pleasant and cooked at Maharishi University of Management in Fairfield.
Mrs. FORD loved outdoor activities, especially camping and fishing. She also enjoyed singing and was an Elvis fan.
Survivors include one son, Neal FORD and wife Mickie of Fairfield; five sisters, Connie HUMMELL of Mount Pleasant, Joan ORTON of Denmark, Iowa, Judy HAMM of Meta, Mo., and Candy HUSTON and Cristal BAIN, both of Mount Pleasant; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
