BIPES, Elda M. -- Elda M. BIPES, 95, formerly of Ottumwa and Fairfield, died Wednesday afternoon, April 9, 2008, at Davenport Lutheran Home in Davenport.
Arrangements are pending at Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield.

BIPES, Elda Marie -- Elda Marie BIPES, 95, of Davenport, formerly of Ottumwa and Fairfield, died Wednesday, April 9, 2008, at Davenport Lutheran Home.
A service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Ottumwa, with the Rev. Keith Piotter officiating. Interment will be at Shaul Cemetery in Ottumwa.
Visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Memorials may be made to Our Savior Lutheran Church of Bettendorf or the Davenport Lutheran Home.

Mrs. BIPES was born Oct. 28, 1912, in Emmet, Minn., the daughter of Fred C. and Albertina PANKOW REITER. She married Leullyen BIPES Nov. 9, 1932, in Renville, Minn. He died Jan. 7, 1968.
Mrs. BIPES grew up and attended country school in the Renville, Minn., community. She was a resident of Ottumwa for 24 years and lived in Fairfield from 1977 to 2001.
She was a member of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod.
Survivors include two daughters, Janice ROBERTS and husband Jack of Ottumwa and Judy GOODWIN and husband Max of Eldridge; one son, Rober BIPES and wife Janice of Lawrenceberg, Ind.; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Leona DETTMAN of Fort Dodge.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Betty PRILL; three brothers; seven sisters; and one infant great-granddaughter.
