SANDELL, Josephine -- Josephine SANDELL, 90, of Fairfield, died today, Tuesday, April 1, 2008, at the Jefferson County Hospital Living Care Center in Fairfield.

Arrangements are pending at Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield.

SANDELL, Josephine -- Josephine SANDELL, 90, of Fairfield, died Tuesday, April 1, 2008, at the Jefferson County Hospital Living Care Center in Fairfield.

A funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield, with the Rev. David Peterson officiating. Interment will be at Aspen Grove Cemetery in Burlington.

Open visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

A Josephine SANDALL (sic) memorial fund has been established; memorials may be sent in care of First National Bank of Fairfield.

Mrs. SANDELL was born Feb. 7, 1918, near Salina, the daughter of Albert and Hannah OLSON ROSEQUIST. She married Chris SANDELL Oct. 4, 1940, in Fairfield. He died April 2, 2003.

Mrs. SANDELL was a lifetime resident of Jefferson County. She was a homemaker and worked as a seamstress.

She was a member of the Salina Rebekah Lodge, Iowa LEA and the Salina Dorcas Society.

She is survived by her cousins.

In addition to her husband, her parents preceded her in death.
