BERRY, Clyda Jean SHERADEN -- Clyda Jean SHERADEN BERRY age 61, went to be with the Lord at 4:32 a.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2008, at her home in Rock Island, Illinois following a gallant battle with cancer.

She was born November 4, 1946, in Sigourney, Iowa to Alva Paul and Betty GLANDON SHERADEN of Ollie, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her father, grandparents Ralph & Pearl ZEPP SHERADEN and Clarence & June SHIPMAN GLANDON.

Clyda was a resident of Marengo, Iowa for ten years before moving to Rock Island due to ill health in July. She held a management position at Rockwell Collins in Coralville, Iowa and had been employed there for twenty years prior to her early retirement in 2006.

Ms. BERRY attended Prairie Home Country School, Ollie Consolidated School, and graduated from Pekin High School with the class of 1964.

She was a loving & caring mother of three daughters and nine grandchildren. She is survived by her mother, Betty SHERADEN of Ollie, her three daughters, Angela BEATTY (Sam) of Goochland, Virginia; Lisa WALLACE of Rock Island, Illinois; Tracey GARRISON (John) of Sterling Heights, Michigan, her brother Alva Lee SHERADEN of Ollie; sisters Donna WOLF (Gary) of Packwood, Iowa, and Linna AMENT (Michael) of Richland, Iowa; as well as nine grandchildren, Ashley & Lindsey SANDERS, Joah & Damaris WALLACE, Maegen & Kevin ADAMS, & Taylor, Mackenzey, & Blake WEBSTER. She is also survived by five nieces & nephews, and their families, Anthony & Ann WOLF, Erick, Garrett, & Paige of Central City, Iowa; Rhonda WATSON & Kaleb of Ollie, Iowa; Matthew & Lisa WOLF of Waukee, Iowa; Todd & Paula AMENT, Haley & Emily of Ollie, Iowa, and Kelley & Allen TOWNSEND of Iowa City, Iowa.

Clyda cherished being a mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and aunt and will be greatly missed. She was an avid Relay for Life supporter and walked on the Packwood Christian Church Team, "Frosty's Flock," each year raising money for cancer awareness. She will forever hold a special place in all our hearts. Clyda's family was her motivation in life, family gatherings and visits from her grandchildren were held dear to her.

Visitation will be held at the Packwood Christian Church on Tuesday evening, April 8, 2008, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with family present during that time. Funeral services will be held at the Packwood Christian Church on Wednesday, April 9, 2008 beginning at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Frosty Van Voorst officiating. Interment will be at the Ollie Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Jefferson County Relay for Life, American Cancer Society.
